Dockets is an order and dispatch workspace for small manufacturers, provided by Docket Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data Docket Labs collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Contact us at info@dockets.dev with any questions.
Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and sign-in details.
- Business data you enter: business details and logo, customers and their contact and delivery details, products and prices, orders and team members.
- Connected mailbox data: if you connect Google or Microsoft, the email address of that mailbox and a secure, encrypted access credential.
- Questions to the AI assistant: the question you ask and summary order figures from your Metrics page.
How we use it
- To run Dockets for you: show your dispatch board, jobsheets, customers, products and metrics.
- To send order confirmations, test emails and team invites that you or your staff choose to send.
- To answer questions you ask the AI assistant about your metrics.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run Dockets.
Google user data
If you connect a Google account, Dockets requests these permissions:
- gmail.send: to send order confirmations, test emails and team invites from your mailbox, only when you or your staff press a send button.
- userinfo.email and profile: to show which mailbox is connected.
Dockets cannot read, search, delete or change any email in your mailbox. It only sends the messages you ask it to send, and does not store the content of your mailbox.
Dockets' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not used to train AI models, and is not read by people unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
Microsoft user data
If you connect Microsoft (Outlook or Microsoft 365), Dockets requests the Mail.Send and User.Read permissions. They are used only to send the emails you choose to send and to show which mailbox is connected. Dockets does not read your email.
Storage and security
Your data is stored in a secure, access-controlled database. Each business's data is kept separate, and only that business's owner and the staff they invite can access it. Mailbox credentials are encrypted and never reach your browser. All traffic is encrypted in transit.
Service providers
Dockets uses hosting, database and AI providers to run the service, and Google or Microsoft to send email when you connect them. These providers only process data on our behalf.
Subscriptions are sold through our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which receives your name, email, billing address and payment details to process payments, manage your subscription, handle tax and issue invoices. We may also share data with professional advisers (legal, accounting) and with authorities where the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can disconnect your mailbox at any time in Settings, which removes the stored credential. You can also remove Dockets' access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Workspace owners can delete their account and all of its data at any time from Settings, Account. This cancels any active subscription and erases the data from our live systems immediately; daily backups expire automatically within their retention window. Paddle, as our reseller, keeps invoices as required by tax law. You can also email info@dockets.dev and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how it's used. Email info@dockets.dev. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and tell account owners about important changes.
