Terms & Conditions

Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Docket Labs ("we", "us"), the provider of Dockets. By creating an account or continuing to use Dockets you agree to them. If you use Dockets for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

The service

Dockets is an online workspace for managing customers, products, orders, jobsheets, dispatch and metrics, offered on the plans shown on our pricing page.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account and your team members.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse Dockets, including by:

  • using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property;
  • interfering with its security, uploading malware, probing, scraping or attempting to access data that isn't yours;
  • reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the service.

Intellectual property

We own Dockets, its software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription. You keep ownership of the data you enter; you let us host and process it only to provide the service.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal and cancellation are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled; you can cancel any time from Settings → Plan & billing, and keep access until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.

Service level

We work to keep Dockets available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties.

Liability

Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury.

Data processing terms

When you enter personal data about your own customers and contacts (such as names, emails, phone numbers and delivery addresses), you are the controller of that data and Docket Labs acts as your processor under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. In that role we will:

  • process the data only to provide Dockets and on your documented instructions, which include these terms and your use of the service;
  • make sure anyone authorised to access it is bound by confidentiality;
  • keep appropriate technical and organisational security measures in place, including access controls, separation between businesses and encryption in transit;
  • use only sub-processors needed to run the service (hosting, database, email delivery and AI providers), bound by data protection terms no less protective than these, and tell you about material changes so you can object;
  • only transfer data outside the UK where appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum;
  • help you respond to requests from people exercising their data rights, and with security, breach notification and impact assessments where reasonably required;
  • tell you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your data;
  • delete or return your data when your account ends, apart from copies the law requires us to keep, with daily backups expiring within their retention window;
  • make available information reasonably needed to show we meet these obligations.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to enter and use this data in Dockets and for giving your customers any notices the law requires.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When access ends, you can request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it is deleted.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
